Meet Megan Grant

“Chef Meg” — Power. Presence. Production.

Megan “Chef Meg” Grant has quickly become one of the most exciting and impactful hitters in collegiate softball. A standout for the UCLA Bruins softball at the University of California, Los Angeles, Grant is known nationwide for her explosive power at the plate, elite athleticism, and the swagger that inspired the mantra, “Let Meg Cook.”

A rare dual-sport athlete, Grant has competed at UCLA in both softball and basketball, demonstrating the type of competitive versatility that very few athletes reach at the Division I level. Her ability to balance two elite programs while performing at a national level speaks to her discipline, work ethic, and natural athletic talent.

Grant’s dominance on the softball field has earned her national recognition and multiple postseason honors, including NFCA All-American status from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and placement on the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award watch list, recognizing the top players in Division I softball. Her impact has also been highlighted by national media, including a feature spotlight connected to coverage by The New York Times through The Athletic.
